Radical Enterprises

American companies are being built by smaller teams using better tools, on shorter timelines, with deeper care about what they make and who they work with.

Products, services, supply chains. The relationships and the execution that hold all of it together.

What I'm watching.

Observations
i.

AI creates leverage and is deflationary in the long run. Value will accrue in areas less susceptible to compression. Physical operations, supply chains, distribution, the customer relationships that take years to earn.

ii.

The tools are changing. Human creativity and relationships will endure. Most of the hard work still happens in conversations. Founder and customer, buyer and seller, investor and operator.

iii.

Capital can be found, but operators are increasingly difficult to come by. Especially in physical industries, where the work requires showing up, knowing the customer, and earning trust over years instead of quarters.

How I work.

Operating principles

I learn domains quickly.

Manufacturing, oil and gas, industrial IoT, DTC outdoor gear, CPG, land development, AI services. GTM, operations, finance, and capital structuring.

I'm happiest on my feet.

Client sites, deal rooms, conversations over a long walk. I run thirty miles a week. I think better when I'm moving.

I build with process and taste.

Mechanical engineer by training, still keep a shop in the garage. Building things requires focus, discipline and perseverance. The companies I work best with care about the system and the craft.

Progress is rarely a straight line.

The work is showing up, paying attention, and doing the next right thing in front of you. Iterate, learn and adjust. Try things, and avoid analysis paralysis.

03

The work.

Engagements

Operating engagements.

I work with founders and operators on the build that turns early traction into a real business: commercial systems, operating rhythm, hiring, deal work. Engagements hand off a working system or convert into a permanent seat.

Capital formation.

Sourcing, positioning, and closing capital for opportunities that need a particular kind of audience and a particular kind of story. Typically commission-based, structured deal by deal. Works best where the asset is real but the path to the right pocket of capital isn't obvious.

Ventures.

Co-founder and operator roles in early-stage companies I help build from the inside.
